Marie A. Brown was born at Baden, Germany, Sept. 8, 1826, and died at her home in Grandview, Ia., Sabbath morning, March 6th, 1910, at 2 o'clock, aged 83 years, 6 months and 2 days. She was united in marriage to Jacob Kallenbarger, at New Orleans in 1849. To them was born nine children. Two having preceded her. Her husband died Nov. 4, 1893. She is survived by four sons and three daughters. They are Jacob, of Chicago; John, of Kansas; Christ of Wapello; Dan and Mrs. J. J. Stingle, of Grandview; Mrs. Mary Kersch, and Mrs. Ella Stapp, of St. Louis, Mo., all of whom were present at the funeral. She with her husband were charter members of the Congregational church. Their membership dating from the year 1857. Mrs. Kallenbarger was a faithful member of the church. The funeral was held Tuesday afternoon at 2 o'clock from the Congregational church, conducted by Rev. S.E. Eells, pastor. Interment in the Grandview cemetery.
