Melba D. Manatt, 75, of Davenport, died Tuesday, Oct. 7, 1997, at Genesis Medical Center, East Campus, Davenport.

Services were at 2:30 p.m. Friday at the Runge Mortuary and Crematory, Davenport. Burial was at the Davenport Memorial Park Cemetery. Visitation was from noon until service time, Friday.

Mrs. Manatt was born Nov. 22, 1921, in rural Winfield, a daughter of Paul and Maudine (Rutt) Hutchison. She was united in marriage to Lewis Manatt on Nov. 19, 1955 in Davenport.

She had been employed at the Von Maur Deprtment Store in Davenport for 12 years, retiring in 1985.

She had a very close relationship with her family and friends. She was loved, and will be missed by all.

Survivors include her husband, Lewis; one daughter, Mrs. Ed (Jill) Sexton of Davenport; two grandchildren, Sara and Samuels Sexton; two sisters, Mrs. Al (Mona) Manatt, and Pauline Wiley and Don Conner, all of Muscatine; one brother, Dallas and his wife, Sharon Hutchison of Muscatine; and severl nieces and nephews.
