Lena Maude Kramer, 90, of 11446 Highway 99, Burlington, died at 5:45 a.m. on Thursday, May 26, 1994, at Burlington Medical Center.

Born December 5, 1903, in Kingston, she was the daughter of John P. and Wilhelmina Johanna Kock Rice. On March 5, 1925, she married William John Kramer. He died June 23, 1964.

Mrs. Kramer was a waitress at the Kresge Building before retiring. She was a member of the Grace United Methodist Church.

Survivors include two sons, Robert Kramer of Torreon Coah, Mexico, and Wayne Kramer of Jenks, Oklahoma; two daughters, Betty Jean Hootman of Burlington and Priscilla Artz of Coloma, Michigan; 15 grandchildren; 27 great-grandchildren; two brothers, John Rice of West Burlington and Harold Rice of Wapello; and six sisters, Mary Lou Yedlik of Cedar Rapids, Grace Gorham of Mediapolis, Edna Smith, Mable Stimpson, Ruby Engel, and Hazel Shultz, all of Burlington.

Besides her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents, two sons, two brothers, five sisters, and two grandchildren.

The funeral for Mrs. Kramer was at 2 p.m. Tuesday, May 31, at the Grace United Methodist Church, with Rev. Milton Geisler officiating. Burial was in Kossuth Cemetery, Mediapolis.

A memorial has been established for the Grace United Methodist Church, the American Cancer Society, and the American Diabetes Association.
