Kenneth Keck Elliott, age 77 of Wapello, died Friday morning, June 2, 1995 at the Veterans Administration Medical Center, Iowa City.

The son of John and Lola Keck Elliott, he was born June 1, 1918 at Wapello. He married Ethel Mae Raushenberger on April 12, 1942 at Kahoka, Missouri.

He was a graduate of Wapello High School in 1937 and served in the US Army during World War II. He had farmed for many years and then worked and retired from the Iowa Army Ammunition Plant of Middletown in 1982. He had attended the former Louisa Center Church.

Survivors include his wife, Ethel; a son Douglas and Sandra Elliott of Elgin, Illinois; a sister Lola (Mrs. Danny) Ashland of Wapello; and a brother Gordon 'Jack" Elliott of Wapello. He was preceded in death by his parents, a sister Mildred Creswell, and two brothers, Ronald and Ralph.

The funeral service for Kenneth Elliott was held at 2 p.m. on Monday, June 5, 1995 at the Dudgeon-McCulley Funeral Home, Wapello, with Rev. Bill Moon and rRv. Robert Hamm officiating. Burial followed at the Grandview Cemetery with military rites conducted by the VFW Post 5166 of Wapello.

Music was provided by Phyllis McCulley as organist and Mike Hagele as vocalist.

The casket bearers included Delbert Dotson, Larry Bickford, John Creswell, Larry Ashland, John Elliott, and Donald Swanson.

Friends called Sunday at Dudgeon-McCulley Funeral Home.
