Ella Mae Brockway, 90, of 2830 Winegard Drive, Burlington, died at 10:11 a.m. Friday, May 20, 1994, at St. Francis Continuation Center, Burlington.

Born September 10, 1905, in Burlington, she was the daughter of Daniel and Amelia Agnes Bowling Goble. On October 18, 1922, she married Archie Lee Brockway in Burlington. He died June 12, 1981.

Mrs. Brockway had worked at the Iowa Army Ammunition Plant and in housekeeping at Burlington Medical Center.

Survivors include two sons, Elwood Brockway of Burlington and Robert Brockway of Kingston; seven dauthers, Marjorie Rice of Wapello, Marian Andries of Mediapolis, Eleanor Breuer of Oakville, Pauline Massey, Mary Malone, Gladys Wiley and Delores Christofferson, all of Burlington; 43 grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; and several great-great-grandchildren.

Besides her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents and one daughter.

The funeral for Mrs. Brockway was at 1:30 p.m. Monday, May 23, at Prugh's Chapel in Burlington with Chaplain David Mixon officiating. Burial was in Burlington Memorial Park Cemetery.

A memorial has been established for the American Heart Association.
