Wilma V. Bryant, 74, of Morning Sun, died Monday, May 11, 1992, at University Hospitals in Iowa City.

Born Aug. 15, 1917, at Newport, she was the daughter of Tom and Cora Congrove Baird. she married Orval Bryant Sept. 20, 1936, at Gladstone, Mo. He died April 2, 1964.

She had worked for Iowa Southern Utilities and Roy's Locker in Morning Sun. She was also the city clerk for Morning Sun for many years before retiring. She was a graduate of the Morning Sun High School and was a member of the United Methodist Church and the U.M.W. of Morning Sun.

Survivors include one daughter, Beverly Todd of Morning sun; two sisters, Jean Griffin and Opal Nichols, both of Morning Sun; and three grandchildren.

Besides her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents, four brothers and seven sisters.

Friends may call as they desire Widnesday at the Hagele and Honts Funeral Home in Morning Sun.

The funeral for Mrs. Bryant will be 2 p.m. Thursday at the United Methodist Church in Morning Sun with the Rev. Chris Ebbers officiating. Burial will be in Elmwood Cemetery.

Memorials have been established for the United Methodist Church and the Morning Sun Community Ambulance Service.
