Relatives here have received word of the death of Twyla Mae Rubey, 63, in Anchorage, Alaska, formerly of Packwood, on September 21, 1994 at a hospital in Anchorage.

The service was held Saturday, September 24 in anchorage with burial there.

Mrs. Rubey was born May 29, 1931, in Morning Sun, the daughter of Charlie Edward and Letha McAfee Cary. She graduated from Packwood High School in 1948. She married Charles H. Rubey in 1954 in Fairfield and his lived in Anchorage the past 27 years.

Surviving are her children: James, Leland, Ronald, Robert, Linda and Barbara; her mother of Fairfield; five brothers, Ellis Cary of Ottumwa, James Cary of Burlington, David Cary of Milan, Il, Marvin Cary of Phoenix, Az, Charles E. Cary Jr. of Batavia; six sisters, Mary Copeland of Fairfield; Marlene Snyder of Muscatine, Boja Hogan of Richland, Zelda Morris of Escendido, CA, Lois Ushman of Davenport and Jeanne Rea of Tipton, MO. she is also survived by five grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband; a daughter, Janice; a son, Donald; her father, and two brothers Dean and Floyd Cary.
