Ruth I. O'Donnell, 66, Columbus City, died Thursday evening at Mercy Hospital, Iowa City, following an extended illness.

Services are Monday at 1:30 p.m. at the Stacy-Lewis Funeral Chapel. Burial will be at the Columbus City Cemetery. Visitation is Sunday afternoon and evening at the funeral chapel where a memorial has been established.

Mrs. O'Donnell was born April 14, 1921 at Port Byron, Ill., a daughter of Walter and Alice Bachman Wells. She was united in marriage to Albert "Abe" O'Donnell on Nov. 18, 1939 at Calamus. She was a member of the United Presbyterian Church.

Survivors include her husband, four sons, Duane O'Donnell, Columbus City; Marlin O'Donnell, Columbus Junction; Dale "Red" O'Donnell, Warrensburg, Mo.; and Jerry O'Donnell, Worthington, Ohio; one daughter, Lynn Mohror, Columbus City; eight grandchildren; four brothers, Warren and Walter, both of Port Byron; Robert of Albany, Ill.; and Royal of Trenton, Iowa; ;and two sisters, Mrs, Elmer (Joyce) Billingsley, Wyman, Iowa; and Mrs. William (Lois) Vickroy, Port Byron.
