Raymond Loren Patterson, 54, died Wednesday, March 10, 1993, at the Veterans Administration Medical Center in Iowa City.

A memorial wake service will be at 7 p.m. Sunday at the Dudgeon-McCulley Funeral Home in Wapello. The Rev. Bernie Wier will officiate. Visitation will follow the service. Memorials may be made to St. Mary's Catholic Church in Wapello or the Louisa County Public Health Services.

Private burial of the remains will be at the Elmwood Cemetery at Morning Sun.

Patterson was born May 23, 1938, at Pekin, Ill., a son of Ray and Anna Wheeler Patterson.

He was a Navy veteran of the Post-Korean Conflict.

He was a truck driver and most recently owned and operated the Refuge Restaurant and Bar in Wapello.

Survivors include two sons, Loren and Chad, both of Muscatine; a stepdaughter, Debra MacGregor of Muscatine; 12 grandchildren; his mother, Anna Brown of Wapello; two sisters, Kay Meyerholz and Pat Wagg, both of Wapello; two nieces and two nephews; and his special friend, Kay Skipton of Wapello.

He was preceded in death by his father, his stepfather, one daughter, Sherry, and two brothers, Charles and Bobbie.
