Paul M. Heindel, 56, Rt. 2, Columbus Junction, was dead on arrival at Muscatine General Hospital Tuesday Morning.

Services will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday at the Dudgeon-McCulley Funeral Home in Wapello. Rev. Richard Faris will officiate. Burial will be in the Columbus City Cemetery. Visitation is 7 to 8:30 this evening. A memorial fund has been established at the funeral home.

The son of Malsolm John and Maude Reynolds Heindel, he was born March 22, 1924, in Louisa County.

He marriage to Marjorie Rockafellow took place July 10, 1952, in the Little Brown Church in Nashua. He was a member of the United Methodist Church of Columbus City, the Moose Lodge No. 388 of Muscatine and was director of the Peoples National Bank in Columbus Junction. He was director of the Iowa Livestock Marketing Association and was a member of the Louisa County Fair Board. Following graduation from high school, Mr Heindel had worked at the Columbus Creamery until 1946. He began farming and for 15 years had been a partner in the Wapello Livestock Sales Corp.

Survivors include his wife; two sons, Rob of Columbus Junction and Tim of Columbus City; one daughter, Mary Beth, at home; four grandchildren; and his mother, Mrs. Frank (Maude) Stone of Columbus Junction.

He was preceded in death by his father.
