John Adam Rudisill, 95, of woden, Iowa, died October 12, 1993. Born May 16, 1898 at Dows, Iowa, he was the son of Isiah Adam and Mary (Paul) Rudisill. He attended the rural schools near Dows and Woden. John was an independent trucker and cream hauler all of his working life. In 1919 he married Margaret Smith at Garner. She died in 1931. On September 19, 1934 he married Theresa Francis Weishaar at St. Patrick's Church in Britt. They lived all of their married life in Woden. John enjoyed his family, friends, baseball, dancing, bingo and card playing.

He was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church and Woden Senior Citzens. He had served his community as a volunteer fireman, city councilman and school board member.

He is survived by his wife, Theresa F. Rudisill of Woden; his ten children, Gladys McClanahan of Carmichael, California, Marjorie Cushman and her husband, Myrle of Titonka, John R. Rudisill and his wife Lynn of Des Moines, Shirley Myers and her husband Richard of Mesa, Arizona, Maryann Alphs and her husband Roger of Buffalo Center, Darlene Swartz and her husband Bobby of Medford, Oregon, Janice Dillon and her husband Dale of Thief River Falls, Minnesota, Charles Rudisill and his wife Donna of Woden, Elizabeth Lara and her husband Frank of Santa Barbara, California, and James Rudisill and his wife Laurie of Wapello; 33 grandchildren; 42 great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his first wife, Margaret Smith Rudisill; a son, Merle Rudisill; two grandsons, David Cushman and Robert McClanahan; a son in law, Bob McClanahan; his parents; two brothers, Roy Rudisill in infancy and Lloyd Rudisill and four sisters, Bertha Mauss, Ann Wickman, Lydia Grunewald and Pearl Murr.

Services for John Rudisill were at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 16 at St. Patrick's Church in Britt, Iowa. Celebrant was the Rev. Fr. Marvin Bries. Lector was Ron Eden, organist, Francis Harrington, and ushers Paul Wellik and Verne Reding. Casket bearers were Richard Cushman, Earl Cushman, Daryl Cushman, John D. Rudisill, Scott Rudisill, Randy Myers, Dan Myers, Jeffrey Swartz, Kevin Alps, David Alphs, John Dillon, James Dillon, Mark Lara, Rex Rudisill, Ron Rudisill, Adam Rudisill, Eric Rudisill, Jay Rudisill.

Interment was in Bingham Township Cemetery, Woden, Iowa. Cataldo Funeral Chapel, Woden, Iowa, was in charge of arrangements.
