YOUNG WOMAN PASSES AWAY

MRS. CHARLES CROW DIED AT HERSHEY HOSPITAL

Was Operated on Saturday, and While Operation Was Successful She Was Too Weak to Survive.

At Hershey Hospital at 7 o'clock last night occurred the death of Mrs. Charles Crow, one of the best and most widely known ladies in South Muscatine. Mrs. Crow has been suffering from an attack of appendicitis for the past three weeks and during the early part of last week was removed to Hershey hospital to undergo an operation but owing to her weak condition it was necessary to postpone it until Saturday morning. The operation was successful but the patient was unable to withstand the shock, and yesterday afternoon she became worse. At 7 o'clock last night death came. The death of Mrs. Crow brings grief to her many relatives and friends, and it was with sorrowing heart that they heard of her demise. She was well known in South Muscatine and her cheerfulness and good will towards every one won to her side many friends. Mrs. Charles Crow is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. W.O. Gray, of this city, and was born in September, 1873, on Muscatine Island. She spent her early days there and about seven years ago she moved to this city with her parents. On March 9th, 1905, she was united in marriage to Charles Crow and up to the time of her death had been living at 704 Sampson street. She is survived by her husband, her parents, and five brothers, Rolland, Craton, Tony and Archie, of this city, and Orlando, of Davenport. No funeral arrangements have yet been made.
