Ruth Mabel Walters was born at her home near Grandview September 25, 1894, where she lived until the time of her death at the age of 17 years, 2 months and 23 days. At the age of 14 she was united with the Congregational church. She was faithful in attending Sabbath school and performed her church duties well. The patience with which she bore her suffering during the past year will never be forgotten by those who knew her. On Monday morning, December 18, at 8 o'clock, her immediate family were summoned to witness her spirit as it departed to the home that knows no sorrow. She leaves to mourn her loss father, mother, two brothers and three sisters, all of whom are still at home.

Thy life so pure and sweet
Will help us all some day to walk

With thee at Jesus' feet.
Goodnight, dear Ruth, goodnight."

The funeral services were conducted from the Congregational church, Wednesday afternoon at 2 o'clock, Rev. W.B. Jackson, officiating. Interment in the Grandview cemetery.
