David Parsons of Letts, Passes Away.

For the third time within fifteen days death claimed a member of the Parsons family when David Parsons, a well known resident of Letts, succumbed to a lingering illness that had kept him an invalid for many months.

On December 1, Mrs. Martha Cline passed away. Her brother, Sheldon Parsons, followed across the the Great Divide five days later, on December 5. Ten days more and David Parsons answered the Final Summons. One sorrowing sister, Miss Ruth Parsons, alone survives of what less than a month ago was a family of four brothers and sisters.

David Parsons was 57 years of age at the time of his death. In addition to his sister he is survived by his wife and four children. The latter are Mrs. Florence Snyder, of Kansas City, Mrs. Laura Reddick, of Letts, Mahlon Parsons, attending school at Burlington and a younger daughter, Mildred, at home.

Mr. Parsons had been an invalid for a number of years. Previous to the development of the case of tuberculosis which caused his death, he suffered from nervous prostration. Before compelled by illness to practically retire from active life he was a successul carpenter in Letts.

The funeral was held Sunday afternoon at 2 o'clock at the United Brethren church.
