Funeral services for 67 year old Arnold L. Smith of columbus Junction will be held Thursday, February 16, 1995 at 1:30 p.m. at the Stacy-Lewis Funeral Home, Columbus Junction, IA. Arnold died on Monday February 13, at University Hospitals, Iowa City, IA. Visitation will be held 4-8 p.m. with the family present 6-8 p.m., Wednesday at the Stacy-Lewis Funeral Home, Columbus Junction. A memorial has been established. Burial will be in the Columbus City Cemetery with military rites.

Arnold L. Smith was born August 1, 1927 at Columbus Junction, IA to Rex and Yeteva Robertson Smith, He married A. Allene Miller on May 28, 1949 in Wapello, IA. Arnold retired from the Columbus Community School in 1988 after ten years of service. Arnold was a World War II, Army Air-Force Veteran. Arnold was a member of the Columbus Junction American Legion.

Survivors include: his wife, Allene, Columbus Junction, two daughters, Mrs. Alan (Carol) Buck, Drakesville, IA; Mrs. Terry (Brenda) Peter, Iowa City, IA; two sons, Bruce A. Smith, Coralville and Brian Smith, Lone Tree, IA. Three are seven grandchildren and four step-grandchildren. Arnold was preceded in death by his parents.
