Leroy A. Pentecost died Saturday, Oct. 1, 1983 in Wapello, Iowa. Mr. Pentecost was born June 19, 1908 In Wallace County, Kansas to Norman and Bertha Caparoon Pentecost.
He farmed, served as custodian of the Louisa County Home and drove heavy equipment for Kemp Construction Co., Grandview.
Surviving: Son Gene, Yuma, AZ; three brothers, Floyd Pentecost, Masonville, Monte Pentecost, Tipton and Charles Pentecost, Montrose; and three grandchildren. Services were held at 2pm Tuesday, Oct. 4 at Dudgeon-McCully Funeral Home, with the Rev. Gordon Watson officiating and Kathlenn Hagele organist.
Pallbearers were C.T. Rowe, Oscar Gregg, Harry Strawhacker, Loren Thompson, Glen Coakley and Bud James.
Flowers were cared for by Barbara Holmquist, Barbara Wakeland and Darlene Gregg.
Burial was in Wapello Cemetery.
