Mildred Pearl, the two and a half year old child of John O'dell and wife, residing on the H.O. Weaver place northwest of town, died last Thursday, March 28, 1907. She was born Sept. 28, 1905. The little girl had been sick for ten days with paralysis of the bowels. Her sickness and death were made doubly sad by the death of Mrs. O'dell's father, George Beik, whose funeral occurred the same day the little one was called. It was a crushing blow to the mother and to the sympathetic heart of the father. The funeral occurred at Lone Tree chapel Friday, conducted by Rev. J.E. Newsom, with interment in the Grandview cemetery.
