MRS. DAN GRAHAM DIES SUDDENLY

Stricken With Heart Trouble Last Evening

COMMUNITY SHOCKED

Was Attending a Surprise and Donation Party When Stricken - Death Came Within A Few Minutes - Had Been Feeling Ill For A Month In Which Time She Had Suffered Several Spells

This community was greatly shocked to hear of the death of Mrs. Dan Graham, which occurred suddenly last evening at eight o'clock at the home of Rev. Geo. L. Thorpe. She had planned a surprise and donation party for Rev. and Mrs. Thorpe and shortly after she entered the home with the crowd of forty or fifty who had gathered there, she remarked that she was falling and fainted away and some one caught her as she fell. She was placed in a chair and her wraps taken off and everything possible was done to revive her. She did not appear to get better so was removed onto a lounge, where she breathed her last in a few minutes, not having regained consciousness. The doctor, who had been called immediately pronounced her dead when he reached her side. Her death was due to heart trouble. Mrs. Graham had been complaining some that evening, and had had several spells with her heart in the last month, but her condition was not considered such to cause alarm until the last sudden attack, and thus her demise has been a very severe shock to her family and friends, coming so unexpectedly as it did. All of this community extends sympathy to the bereaved family.

The funeral arrangements have not yet been made known.
