TREVOR M. KIMBLE

Trevor M. Kimble, Sr., age 70, of Morning Sun, died Wednesday, May 8, 1996 at the University Hospitals in Iowa City.

The son of Charles W. Sr. and Carrie (Ruth) Kimble, he was born March 14, 1926 at Bethlehem, PA.

On May 11, 1946 he married Marjorie Walker at Corpus Christi, Texas.

He served in the U.S. Navy during WW II.

He retired from FOX Appliances in Burlington as a serviceman. He was an originator and charter member of the Garden Club in Morning Sun. His special hobby was cactus plants. He was a member of the American Legion of Morning Sun and the First Presbyterian Church of Morning Sun.

Survivors include: his wife of Morning Sun; 1 daughter, Becky Murphy of Cedar Rapids, Iowa; 1 son, Trevor Kimble Jr. of Morning Sun; 5 grandchildren, Gerald Kimble, Sherrie Dotson, Kathy Kimble, Karen Kimble and Brian Murphy; 4 great-grandchildren; 2 brothers, Charles Kimble Jr. of Hellertown, PA and Bob Kimble of Allentown, PA.

He was preceded in death by his parents; 1 son, Gerald and 1 sister, Audrey (Sis) Kimble.

Funeral services were held Saturday, May 11, 1996 at 2:00 p.m. from the First United Presbyterian Church in Morning Sun, with Rev. Jack Edmisson officiating. Interment followed in the Elmwood Cemetery at Morning Sun, with graveside Military Rites. Friends called after noon on Friday at Hagele and Honts Funeral Home in Morning Sun, where the family met with friends from 7-8 p.m.

In lieu of flowers, a general memorial fund has been established.

Music was provided by Pamela Butler, organist and Mayme Courter, vocalist. Casket bearers were: Wayne Caparoon, Randy Smith, Larry Smith, Bill Edwards, Scott Bisbey, Bob Hamann.
