ADRIAN C. STEPHENS

Adrian C. Stephens, 66, Wapello, died Monday, October 26, 1992, at his home.

Services were held Wednesday, October 28, 1992, at the Dudgeon-McCulley Funeral Home in Wapello. Burial was in the Grandview Cemetery.

Masonic services were held Tuesday, October 27, 1992.

Memorials may be left to the Wapello Rescue Unit and Community Ambulance Service.

Mr. Stephens worked at the Iowa Army Ammunition Plant in Burlington, and the Louisa County Maintenance Department. He owned and operated Stephens Construction Company for 35 years.

He was the son of Myrle and Pauline Jackson Stephens.

He was a WWII veteran in the Army and member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars in Wapello, the Masonic Lodge at Wapello and the KAABA Shrine in Davenport.

He married Betty Johnson in 1946 in Wapello. She died June 9, 1991.

Survivors include a daughter, Pam Stephens, Iowa City and seven sons, Paul, Bill, Russ, Randy and Tim, all of Wapello; Robert of Letts, and Gary of Grandview; his mother of Wapello. There were 16 grandchildren.

There are five sisters, JoAnne Charbonneau, Lovonia, Missouri; Myrlene Eubanks, Crawfordsville; Delaine Roth, Burlington; Mary Lou Schultz, Grandview; Jill Whitbeck, Kenosha, Wisconsin; two brothers, Hal, Clarksville, Tennessee, and Ted, Columbus Junction; and a special friend, Donna Wright, Wapello.
