The funeral of Miss Edith Creswell who died at Mesa, Arizona, April 2, 1906, was held at the Creswell home on Tuesday of this week, conducted by Rev. Wilson, of Columbus City. The remains were laid to rest in the Harrison cemetery. She was the oldest daughter of Mr. and Mrs. J.M. Creswell, and was well and favorably known in this vicinity. She was born July 26, 1874. She was therefore at the time of her death aged 31 years, 8 months and 6 days. She leaves four sisters and two brothers, besides her aged parents and a host of friends to mourn her loss. Her health had been failing for a few years and she had spent the last two winters in Arizona, accompanied by her mother, for the benefit of her health, but in spite of all care and medical aid that could be rendered death was her doom.
