EZRA M. MARTIN
Winfield – Ezra M. Martin, 86, of Parkview Home, Wayland, a former resident of Winfield, died Tuesday, Jan. 28 at the home.
He was born March 20, 1899, in Louisa County, to Stephen G. and Mary Elizabeth Grim Martin. He married Lorena Boden on March 4, 1920, at Columbus City; she died April 10, 1976. He was retired, having farmed most of his life in Henry County, and was a member of the Green Mound Church of God.
Surviving: A son, Donald M. Martin, Coralville; four daughters, Mrs. James (Hazel) Hudson, North Liberty, Mrs. Carl (Elaine) Ingwersen, Swedesburg, Mrs. Robert (Joy) Stone, Roaring Spring, Pa., and Mrs. Leon (Carma) Blosser, Ft. Collins, Colo.; 25 grandchildren and 21 great-grandchildren.
Funeral: 2 p.m. Thursday, Green Mound Church of God, the Rev. Eric Hunt and the Rev. Ralph Draper; Cairo Cemetery. A memorial has been established for his church at the McKasson-Honts Funeral Home, Winfield.
