Robert Michael Griffin, 65, Post Falls, Idaho, died Wednesday, May 19, 1993, at his home.

Services were held Saturday, May 22, in Post Falls. The Engilsh Funeral Chapel was in charge of arrangements.

Griffin was born March 10, 1928, in Melrose, Iowa, to William P. and Kathleen (McGrath) Griffin, He moved with his family to Columbus Junction in 1935. He surved in the U.S. Navy during World War II.

He married Delores Johnson in Coeur d'Alene, Idaho, in 1949 and later moved to Post Falls. He worked as a boiler operator at Kaiser Aluminum until he retired on April 30, 1982. Following retirement he repaired small engines and lawn mowers.

He was a member of Crossroads Free Methodist Church in Post Falls and ministered in the A A A for the last eight years. He was an avid sportsman and lover of nature.

Survivors include his wife, Delores; one son, Timothy Griffin of Post Falls; one daughter, Karleen Dammarell of Post Falls; brothers, Bill of Morning Sun, Iowa, Eddie of Wilton, Iowa, Paul of Fort Madison, Iowa, Jerry of Columbus Junction, Iowa; sisters, Mary Oberman of Burlington, Donna Moyer and Pat Cocklin of Wapello, Iowa and Loretta Walsinger of Fort Madison, Iowa; grandchildren, Shawn, Kacie, and Alysha Dammarell and Matthew Griffin, all of Post Falls.

He was preceded in death by his parents, two brother; Dan and Dave, and one grandson.
