VAUGHN PRETZ
Columbus Junction – Vaughn B. Pretz, 47, died at this home early today of an apparent heart attack.

Services are Thursday at 1:30 p.m. at the Stacy-Lewis Funeral Chapel. The Rev. Thomas Woodin will officiate. Donna Belle Huges will be organist. Brian Cummings will be vocalist. Burial will be at the Columbus City Cemetery.

Visitation is Wednesday from 3:30 to 8 p.m. at the funeral chapel.

Mr. Pretz was born April 26, 1941 at Washington, Iowa, a son of John and Martha Pratt Pretz. On Feb. 14, 1971 he was united in marriage to Sharolyn Cutkomp in Columbus City.

He was a member of the United Methodist Church. His employment was with IBP.

Survivors include his wife, Sharolyn; a son, Joshua and a daughter, Jennifer, both at home; four brothers, Donald, Robert, Roger and Keith, and a sister, Joan Pretz all of Columbus Junction.

His parents precede him in death.

A memorial has been established for the children, Joshua and Jennifer.
