SELBY GLENN DECKER
Selby Glenn “Little Joe” Decker, 33, of Wapello, Iowa, formerly of Oquawka, died Friday evening, September 29, 1995, at his home.
He was born July 14, 1962 in Monmouth, IL, the son of Milford Joe and Dorothy Opal (Van Meter) Decker. He was reared and educated in Oquawka attending schools in Oquawka and Gladstone.

He married Lydia Kahley on June 12, 1992 in Wapello, IA and she survives.
He farmed and enjoyed fishing end mechanics.

Surviving with his wife, Lydia of Wapello, IA are two sons, Terrence and Damion and one daughter, Tosha, all at home; maternal grandmother, Mary Van Meter of Franklin, IN; 7 sisters, Cleota Miller of Bristow, OK, Kathy Edwards and Sherri Carlson, both of Abingdon and Virginia Anne Burt of Noblesville, IN; one brother, Russell Decker of Blandinsville, IL; along with nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, one brother, Jack Dale Decker, paternal grandparents and maternal grandfather.

Funeral services were at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday at the Oquawka United Methodist Church with Rev. William Schlobohm. Burial was in the Oquawka Cemetery.

The family met Monday evening with friends at Hoover Hall Memorial Chapel, Monmouth.

A memorial fund has been established to be designated later.
