Julia Lake Warner

Julia Lake Warner, the daughter of Eli and Ruth Lake, was born at Mt. Morris, New York, on Nov. 10th, 1819, and passed away at Grandview, Ia., Feb. 6th, 1913, having lived 93 years, 2 months and 26 days. At the age of eleven she united with the Presbyterian church. She graduated for Ingham Ladies' Seminary in LeRoy, New York, in 1841, and after studying art taught it in that school. Sept. 12, 1843, she was married to Evander S. Warner, of LeRoy. They lived in New York, Chicago, and finally in Lake Geneva, Wis., where Mrs. Warner established Lake Geneva Seminary, a private school for girls. Their last years were spent in Grandview Iowa, where Mr. Warner died August 12, 1904. Of their six children only one is still living, Miss Marietta, of Colorado Springs.
