TYPHOID IS FATAL TO MRS. ROY KEMP

WIFE OF FRUITLAD MERCHANT PASSES AWAY AT BELLEVUE.

Had Been Ill for Some Time and Was in Critical Condition When Removed to Local Hospital.

At Bellevue hospital at 11:30 o'clock Sunday evening occurred the death of Mrs. Roy Kemp, of Fruitland. Typhoid fever was the cause of her demise. Several weeks ago she was taken ill with the fatal malady and two weeks ago was removed to Bellevue hospital in a critical condition. Strict attention was given the patient but the fever could not be conquered and she passed away last night. The announcement of her death was sadly received on the Island and in Louisa county, where she was well known and loved by many.

Mrs. Kemp spent her entire life in this vicinity. She was the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Samuel McGill, of Grandview, and was born in Louisa county and was at the time of her death 23 years of age. She was united in marriage to Roy Kemp four years ago last February and made her home in Fruitland after that time. Aside from her husband she is mourned by two children, Merle and Lillian. The remains have been take to the home of Mr. Kemp's mother, Mrs. A.F. Kemp, at Fruitland.

No funeral arrangements have been made, but it is thought that the services will be held at Grandview.
