Services held for Davis
Mrs. Kathryne Eleanor Davis, 92, died Thursday, March 20,1986,at the Long Term Care Unit of Washington County Hospital after a lingering illness.
Services were held Saturday at 1:3O p.m. at the United Presbyterian Church in Washington with the Rev. George Bishop officiating. Burial was in the Cambrian Cemetery.
She was born June 21, 1893, in Fox Lake Township of Dodge County, Wisconsin. She was a daughter of William Owen and Mary Jane Jones Daniel. She graduated from Randolph High School and Lawrence College. She married Harvey Davis on March 6, 1931, in Cambria, Wisconsin, who preceded her in death November 27, 1983.
Mrs. Davis taught secondary school classes in Bisbee, North Dakota; Marshall, Eau Claire, Menasha, and Racine, Wisconsin. She had lived in Washington since 1941 and was a member of the American Legion Auxiliary and Washington Fortnightly Club of which she was a past president.
She was interested in church work and she participated first at Salem United Presbyterian Church and later in the United Presbyterian Church in Washington. She was a deacon and active in the Women's Missionary Society. She had sponsored youth groups with her husband and taught adult Sunday School classes for many years.
Surviving are one son, D. Clair Davis of Abington, Pennsylvania; four grandchildren; one brother, David J. Daniel of Cambria, Wisconsin, and two sisters, Olwen and Edythe Daniel of Platteville, Wisconsin.
