Abstract from Wapello Republican Thursday, March 13, 1969

Forrest Glen Pontzius, 74, died on his way to Burlington Hospital of a heart attack. He was born Aug. 8, 1894, the son of son of Cleaver and Fanny Nichols Pontzius. He married Feb. 27, 1932 at Wapello to Exie Bazel. Survivors include his widow, daughter Mrs. Shirley Heitmier of Morning Sun; three grandchildren; brothers Frank of Denver, Col., Thomas of Mediapolis; Howard of Wapello, Albert of Wapello, and a sister, Audrey Foster of Camp Verde, Ariz. Interment was at Elmwood Cemetery at Morning Sun.
