Arthur D. Crumly Dies of Heart Attack

Letts - Arthur D. Crumly, who had spent the greater part of his life in Concord township and at Letts, died suddenly of a heart ailment at his home at 12:30 p.m. Wednesday. Mr. Crumly was apparently taken ill while driving his car. He had stopped the machine but the motor was still running when he was found in an unconscious condition and removed to his home.

He was born March 19, 1881, at St. Francisville, Mo., the son of Mr. and Mrs. Nelson Crumly, and had resided in this community for 40 years. He married Miss Dora Dallmeyer on March 15, 1906.

Surviving are his wife, one daughter, Mrs. Harold Hetzler of Muscatine, seven sons, Robert Curmly of Muscatine, Edwin of Chicago, Leo of Rock Island, and Lloyd, Max, Lester and Merle all of Letts; two sisters, Mrs. Ethel Martin of Keokuk and Mrs. Patients Price of California; two brothers, Floyd of Seal Beach, Calif., and Donald of Los Angeles and two grandchildren, Carol Ann Crumly of Letts and Harold Hetzler, Jr., of Muscatine.

Funeral rites will be held at 2 p.m. Friday at the Letts Methodist church with the Rev. Robert G. Alexander in charge. Burial will be in Indian Creek cemetery.
