COLUMBUS JUNCTION - Charlene M. Hixson, 60, of 508 Susan St., New Martinsville, W.Va., died Thursday at the Ohio Valley Medical Center, in Wheeling, W.VA.

Services are at 1 p.m. Tuesday, May 1 at the Stacy-Lewis Funeral Chapel with the Rev. Burris Moore officiating. Burial will be at the Columbus City Cemetery.

The family will meet with friends Monday from 2 to 4 plm. and from 7 to 9 p.m. at the funeral home.

Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society.

Mrs. Hixson was born Dec. 7, 1929 at Columbus Junction, a daughter of Thomas R. and Myra Boden Woodruff. She married Donald Hixson on Sept. 14, 1948 in Columbus Junction.

She was a member of the First Church of God at New Martinsville.

She was a homemaker.

Survivors include her husband, Donald; one son, Alan D., of Hopkins, S.C.; two daughters, Mrs. Dennis (Myra Ann) Thomas, of Akron, Ohio; and Gayle M. Langley, of Denver; two grandchildren; two brothers, Harold Woodruff, of Burlington; and Thomas Woodruff, of Davenport; and two sisters, Mrs. Delbert (Dorothy) Buffington, of Wapello; and Mrs. Thurman (Shirley) Hughes, of Cadet, Mo.

Her parents and a daughter precede her in death.
