Atlee Paul Wolfe, 73-year old Des Moines businessman, died of cancer at Iowa Methodist Medical Center Friday, Sept. 12.
He was a native of Morning Sun and, since 1948, had lived in Des Moines where he owned Wolfe Equipment Co. and Top Systems Sandwich Shop. He also owned Wolfe Farm Equipment Co. of Lone Tree.
Mr. Wolfe was a member of Unity Church, the Elks Lodge, and the Izaak Walton Leaque.
He is survived by his wife, Frances; three brothers, Burton Wolfe, Burlington; Archie Wolfe, Morning Sun; and Neil Wolfe, Yarmouth; and two sisters, Harriet Nichols, Morning Sun, and Naomi Riggall, Burlington.
Services were held at 1 p.m. Monday at Eicher Mennonite Church of Wayland, with burial in Eicher Cemetery. A memorial service will be held Sunday, Sept. 21 at 2 p.m. at Unity Church.
A memorial to Unity Church has been established at Westover Funeral Home.
