Blanche Margaret Todd, age 88 of Morning Sun, Iowa died Monday morning March 19, 1990 at Morning Sun Care Center. She was born November 18, 1901 at Henry County, Iowa the daughter of Herman and Ellen Meyers Venghous. She married John A. Todd November 16, 1921 at Yarmouth, Iowa. He died January 1, 1975. For many years she had attended the Yarmouth Methodist Church and after its closing she transferred to the United Methodist Church at Morning Sun where she was also a member of the United Methodist Women.

Blanche Todd is survived by one daughter (Mrs. John) Darlene Hupp of Wapello; one son Wendell Todd of Morning Sun; seven grandchildren; eight great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; one sister Florence Smith; and two brothers Chester and Clarence Venghous.

Funeral service for Blanche Todd will be at 2:00 P.M. on Thursday, March 22, 1990 at the United Methodist Church at Morning Sun. Rev. Tom Zeleny and Rev. Nancy Kaye Skinner will officiate. Geneva Samuels will be the organist with George Colthurst providing vocal music. The casket bearers will be Dale Hupp, Evan Hupp, Glen Hupp, Roger Wyss, Kenneth Todd, and David Shadle. Burial will be at the Elmwood Cemetery. A memorial fund has been established. The family will meet with friends from 7 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at Hagele and Honts Funeral Home at Morning Sun.
