HUDDLE, BROWN, HAMILTON, PARSONS

Donald B. Huddle, 62, died Saturday, June 16, in Mercy Hospital, Iowa City.

Services were at 10:30 a.m. Monday at the Dudgeon-McCulley Funeral Home with the Rev. Bill Young officiating. Kathleen Hagele was organist, and Stephanie Delzell, vocalist, singing One Day At A time and Amazing Grace.

Pallbearers were Paul Delzell, Verle Hall, Jay Stephens, Ralph Stone, George Meyerholz, Bill Paris and Jack Hamilton. Honorary pallbearers were Pam Crawford, Jill Heater, Brenda Springsteen, Kelly Dossett, JoEllen Yoder, Kim Nichols and Kathy Parsons.

Flower attendants were Sandra Stotlar Johnson, Becky Stephens, Virginia Stone and Beverly Paris.

Burial was at the Wapello Cemetery.

A memorial has been established.

Mr. Huddle was born March 20, 1928 at Wapello, a son of Paul and Audrey Brown Huddle. He was united in marriage on Nov. 26, 1950 to Patsy Hamilton in Wapello.

He was a member of the Wapello United Presbyterian Church, was active in Little League for 15 years, and was past president of the Wapello Chamber of Commerce.

He was owner/operator of the Tomahawk Restaurant in Wapello from 1975 to 1989. Prior to that he operated the Huddle Grocery Store in Wapello from 1948 to 1966.

He served with the U.S. Navy from 1946 to 1948.

Survivors include his wife, Patsy; three sons, Leslie of DeWitt, Roger of Wapello, and Brian of Pella; nine grandchildren; and one sister, Carol Parsons of Wapello.

His parents preceded him in death.
