RESIDENT OF LETTS HAS PASSED AWAY

MRS. M. C. ROSS PASSED AWAY AFTER LONG ILLNESS

Was Operated Upon a Week Ago and Was Improving, When She Suffered Attack of Heart Disease.

Letts, Ia., April 16. - (Special.)- Mrs. M. C. Ross, a well known resident of this place, passed away at her home at 8:10 o'clock this morning, after a prolonged illness. The cause of her death was heart disease. Last week she was operated upon for a complication of diseases and was recovering, when she suffered a severe attack of heart failure, from which she never recovered. She was the wife of a prominent merchant at this place and the news of her death has shocked the entire community. She was 37 years of age and has lived in this city for about eight years. She spent the early part of her life near Grandview, moving to Letts from that place. No funeral arrangements have been made as yet.
