MRS. LEMUEL JOHNSON OF LOUISA CO. DIES

Columbus Junction, Iowa, April 18.- (Special)- Mrs. Lemuel Johnson, a well known resident of this vicinity, died at her home three miles north of Fredonia, after an illness of two weeks, yesterday afternoon at 4 o'clock.

Mrs. Johnson was born in Brevel county, Ohio, April 12, 1836, and was married January 24, 1858. She and her husband came to Iowa in 1863. For twenty-two years, however, they made their home elsewhere than in this state, living for sixteen years in Wisconsin. They returned to Louisa county six years ago.

Mrs. Johnson is survived by her husband and by one daughter, Miss Vera, who resides at home.

The funeral services will be held tomorrow afternoon at the Fredonia Methodist Episcopal church, the services being in charge of Rev. A.W. Gillian, pastor of that church. Interment will be made at the Indian Creek cemetery.
