William W. (Canady) Yeater, 69 of Muscatine, passed away on Friday, March 7, 2008 at his home. Funeral services will be 1:00 P.M. on Wednesday, March 12, 2008, at the Stacy-Lewis Home for Funeral and Cremation Services in Columbus Junction, Iowa. Burial will be held in Indian Creek Cemetery. Casketbearers will be William D. Canady, Steven Canady, Michael Flanagan, David Flanagan, Jeff Flanagan, Eric Wagner, Paul Beatty and Darrell McIntire. Honorary casketbearers will be Sean Wagner, Chris King, Michael McGill, Scott Canady and Shane Roberts. Following the committal services a time of food and fellowship will be held at the Fruitland Community Center. Visitation was held on Tuesday, March 11, 2008 from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 P.M. at the Stacy-Lewis Home for Funeral and Cremation Services. A memorial has been established at the funeral home in William’s name. Sympathy notes may be left to the Canady family at www.lewisfuneralhomes.com.

William Wayne was born on October 7, 1938, in Tucson, Arizona. On October 8, 1959, William was united in marriage to Mona Fern Hansford in Muscatine, Iowa, they later divorced. William later married Mary Jane Huro on February 28, 1975 in Fort Worth, Texas. William was a jack of all trades and master of all. He enjoyed restoring old cars, building his Harley Davidson Chopper, traveling, NASCAR, riding his motorcycle, especially with his brother-in-law, Joe Huro, having coffee with his coffee club friends at Twin Oaks, and especially spending time with his family and his dog, Rocky.

William will be dearly missed by his wife; Mary Jane of Muscatine; four children, William Dean Canady and his wife, Vicki, of Muscatine, Laura Lynn Flanagan and her husband, Michael of Ackley, Deann Michelle Klemp and special friend, Travis Heuer of Muscatine and Steven Wayne Canady and his fiancée, Tracy Minder of Alden; ten grandchildren, Courtney Pickens, David, Jeff and Mikayla Flanagan, Shane Roberts, Sarah Ramer, Tarah, Timothy and Brea Canady and Luke Hodge; two great-grandchildren, Chloe Ramer and Angelina Flanagan; his mother, Geraldine Kemp McGill of Decatur, Illinois; siblings, Wilbur Canady and his wife, Bernadine of Grandview, Earl McGill, Jr. and his wife, Nancy of Letts, Denny McGill and his wife, Laurie, of Rhinelander, Wisconsin, Kenneth McGill of Decatur, Illinois, and Shelby McGill King of Decatur, Illinois; and nieces and nephews, Eric Wagner, Sean Wagner, Anthony Wagner, Dawn Board, Ryan Wagner, Christopher King, Michael McGill, Melissa Wessels, Jessica Mead, Angela Hinkhouse, Cindy Ayles and Scott Canady.

William was preceded in death by his father Norman Lee Yeater; step-father, Earl McGill, Sr.; and two grandsons, John Patrick Flanagan and Ryler Wayne Canady.
