Rufus K. Bullis Died In Arkansas

CONESVILLE - Rufus Kenneth Bullis, long time resident of Iowa, died December 28, 1977, at his home in Rogers, Arkansas. Death followed immediately after a heart attack.

Rufus was born at McIntyre, Iowa, in 1906, the son of Mr. and Mrs. Gaylord Bullis, who brought their family to Conesville in 1910. He married Eunice Risinger, a teacher in Columbus Junction in 1936.

He is survived by his wife; three children, Mary Ann Dawson of Eureka, California, James K. Bullis of San Jose, California, and Joy Conway of Boston, Massachusetts and seven grandchildren.

Rufus graduated at Iowa State Teacher's College in 1931, received his Master's degree from the University of Iowa in 1955 and taught in Iowa Schools for 41 years. He retired to Arkansas in 1974. He was a member of Central United Methodist Church.

Burial was in Rogers Cemetery.
