Lorena L. Brauns dies Tuesday

Mrs. Lorena L. Brauns, 75, of Hershey Manor, Muscatine, but formerly of Route 4, Muscatine, died March 26, 1985, at her home.

Funeral services were held at 10:30 a.m. March 29, at the High Prairie United Methodist Church with Rev. Harlan Babcock officiating. Burial was in the High Prairie Cemetery in charge of the George M. Wittich-Lewis Funeral Home.

She was born September 10, 1909, in Grandview, the daughter of Guy and Bertha Kent Fisher. She married Henry W. Brauns September 18, 1929, in Grandview. She had resided at the Hershey Manor for the past six months.

Mrs. Brauns was a member of the High Prairie United Methodist Church, the United Methodist Women, Rutheans and the Lake Township Farm Bureau Women.

Survivors include three sons, Barry Brauns of Conesville, Bernie A. Brauns and Robert G. Brauns, both of Muscatine; two daughters, Mrs. Charles (JoAnn) Harrington of DeWitt and Mrs. Don (Jean) Scott of Muscatine; and 15 grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband in 1977, two brothers and two grandchildren.
