Fern K. (McChesney) Bragonier, age 86, passed away May 26, 1999, at the Hallmark Nursing Home in Omaha, Nebraska. She was preceded in death by her husband, her parents, one sister, and four brothers.

She and her husband owned the Bragonier Heating Co. in Waterloo.

She leaves to survive, sons John McChesney and wife Lila of Omaha, Maurice McChesney and wife Kathy of Newbury Park, CA; 5 grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.

Graveside services were held at 2 p.m. Tuesday, June 1, 1999 at Memorial Cemetery in Waterloo, Iowa. There was no visitation.

Memorials may be made to the Alzheimer Association.

Fern was born December 19, 1912, in Wapello, Iowa to William and Olive Houtz.

Parrott and Wood Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
