Opal Boyd dies at University Hospital in Iowa City

Mrs. Opal Boyd, 64, Keokuk, died early Tuesday morning, August 4, at University Hospital in Iowa City, following a one year illness.

Funeral services were held Friday, August 7, at the Dejong Funeral Home in Keokuk with Rev. Marvin Arnpriester officiating. Burial was in the Sunset Memorial Gardens in Keokuk.

She was born August 28, 1916, to Clarence and Mary Smith Nott. On February 28, 1946, she married William M. Boyd in Burlington. Later they moved to Keokuk.

Survivors include her husband; one stepsister, Mrs. Edna McCannon of Burlington; and one stepbrother, Robert Graham of Wapello.
