Dorothy M. Davis

Dorothy Margaruite Davis, 68, died Monday, July 13, 1992 at Burlington Medical Center. She was born February 19, 1924 to Norris McCuen and Dessie Mae Kincaid, Centerville, Iowa. She married Raymond E. Davis April 9, 1959 in Muscatine.

Mrs. Davis is survived by her husband, Raymond; six sons, Russell G. West of Dallas, Texas, Earl Davis of Middletown, Iowa, Jack West of New London, Iowa, Richard West of Burlington, Iowa, Ronald Davis Jr. of Fairfield, Iowa; five daughters, Sandra Williams of Independence,Missouri, Sandra Mae Pickens of Lockridge, Iowa, Carol Coppi of San Francisco, California, Linda Harwood of Lockridge, Iowa, and Michelle Singleton of Wapello, Iowa; three sisters, Joanne Grunnert of Tampa, Florida, Doris Perkins of Laurel, Florida, and Jean Reece of Carnegie, Oklahoma; one brother, Glenn McCuen of Valparaiso, Florida; her mother, Dessie Mae Bloomer of Tampa, Florida; 43 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren.

She was a homemaker and of the Baptist faith.

Mrs. Davis was preceded in death by her father, Norris McCuen, her step-father John Bloomer, one son, Charles Davis, and a brother, Roger McCuen.

Funeral services for Mrs. Davis will be Thursday, July 16, 1992, 1:00 p.m. at Prugh’s Chapel, Burlington, with the Rev. Gerald Dunham officiating. Burial will follow in Burlington Memorial Park Cemetery.

A memorial has been established in Mrs. Davis’ name.
