David W. Davis dies at home

David W. Davis, age 66, died November 7, 1984, at his home in Columbus, Ohio.

He was a retired employee of Ohio State University, a veteran of World War II, affiliated with the Thurman Avenue Methodist Church and a member of the Buckeye Boosters. He entered Cotter School in the fall of 1928 and graduated with the class of 1935.

He is survived by his brother and sister-in-law, Joseph L. Davis and Margaret Davis, Columbus, and an aunt Esther Lloyd Dauber of Jackson, Ohio; two stepsons Donald and James Teter and wives of Westerville, Ohio, grandchildren; two nephews Stephen J. Davis, Cheswick, Pennsylvania, and Thomas W. Davis, Columbus and one niece Jane E. Leach, also of Columbus.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Ruth Penlsy Davis and parents Whitfield and Jane Davis.

Funeral services were held Saturday, November 10 with interment in Forest Lawn Cemetery, Columbus.
