Mrs. Clara Davies Died At Washington, Iowa

Mrs. Clara Davies, formerly of Crawfordsville, passed away Tuesday, April 4, at the Washington County Hospital. She had been seriously ill for the past ten days.

She was born May 5, 1883 in Louisa County. Her father was Joseph Davis and her mother was Elizabeth Jones. She was reared and educated in Louisa County.

She was married in 1913 to Griff Davies. She was a member of the First Presbyterian Church of Washington.

Mrs. Davies lived on a farm north-west of Crawfordsville until Mr. Davies died in 1947, and then she moved to Washington.

She is survived by two sons, Towyn Davies of Washington and Trevor Davies, Des Moines and one brother T. C. Davis, Washington.

The funeral rites will be at 2:00 p.m. Thursday, April 6 at the Jones Funeral Home in Washington, burial will be in the Crawfordsville cemetery.
