MUSCATINE, Iowa - Virginia "Jean" Bowman, 70, of Muscatine, died Wednesday, May 23, 2007, at her home.

The Rev. Tim Leathers of Heartland Fellowship Church in Wilton will officiate.

Burial will be in Indian Creek Cemetery. Casketbearers will be Jason Hafner, Chris Bowman, Benny Cardoza, Josh Jacobs, Josh Fletcher, David Plowman, Isaiah Knight and Justin Fletcher.

Following the interment, there will be a time of food and fellowship held at the American Legion in Muscatine.

A memorial has been established at the funeral home for Trinity Hospice in Rock Island. Sympathy notes may be left at www.lewisfuneralhomes.com.

Mrs. Bowman was born Oct. 10, 1936, in Omaha, Neb., the daughter of Virgil and Virginia Polk Randall.

She married Doain Dwain Bowman Feb. 15, 1960, in Stockton, Calif. He died in 1996.

She enjoyed being with friends and family, playing bingo and gambling.

She will be deeply missed by her two sons, Ira Bowman and his wife, Brenda, of Wilton and Doain Douglas Bowman and his wife, Kathy "Krash", of Kansas; four daughters, Dixie McFadden and her husband, Robert, Cheryl Cardoza and her husband, Frank, both of Muscatine, Debbie Hafner and her husband, Jon, of Letts and Eva Fletcher and her husband, Kevin, of Wapello; 20 grandchildren; 28 great-grandchildren; and a brother, Virgil "Bud" Randall and his wife, Pat, of Omaha, Neb.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; a granddaughter, Rosa Cardoza; and a great-grandson, Marshal Bowman.
