Services held for Boulton

Mrs. Harold, Grace Elizabeth, (Betty) Boulton, 63, of RR1 Montrose, Iowa, died Thursday, June 21, 1988, at the Burlington Medical Center.

She was born November 7, 1924, in Clnton, Massachusetts, to Cleveland and Harriet Hamlin Lovering Clark.

Mrs. Boulton was an art teacher in West Union, Iowa, and Carthage, Illinois, school systems and also taught adult education in Marshalltown and Ft. Madison. June 18, 1949, she married Harold L. Boulton, in Ames, Iowa. (Harold is the son of George, now of Ava, Missouri, and the late Pearl Boulton of Columbus Junction). Betty was a member of the Trinity Methodist Chuch of Keokuk.

She was a member of the American Association of University Women, Daughters of American Revolution and the Federated Women's Club of Ft. Madison. She also belonged to several art associations throughout Iowa.

Mrs. Boulton is survived by her husband; one son, Robert Boulton, of Hamilton, Illinois; three daughters, Barbara Clark of Greeley, Colorado, Mrs. Kent "Bonnie" Britten also of Greeley, and Marjorie Boulton of Ames, Iowa. She also had eight grandchildren.

She was preceded by her parents; one son, David; one sister and one brother.

The funeral was Tuesday, June 26, 1988, at the Trinity Methodist Church with the Rev. Edward P. Phillips officiating. Burial was in the Columbus City Cemetery.
