Funeral services for Helen B. Davidson, 93, were held Tuesday, January 10, 1995, at 11 a.m. at the Ralph J. Wittich Funeral Home in Muscatine with Rev. Paul Ostrem of the Zion Lutheran Church officiating. Honorary casket bearers were her grandsons and great-grandsons, Steven Garrett, David Volkens, Glee Goodner, Andy Goodner, Ben Goodner and Michael Volkens. Memorials may be made to Zion Lutheran Church of Lutheran Homes. Ralph J. Wittich Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements. Burial was in the Columbus City Cemetery.

She died Friday, January 6, 1995, at Lutheran Homes where she had been a resident.

Helen was born July 30, 1901, to Frederick and Lucy Koester Schmoldt, in Muscatine, Iowa. She married Ted Lewis on March 22, 1921, he preceded her in death in 1957; she then married Lyle Davidson September 3, 1963, in Toledo, Ohio, he preceded her in death in 1993. She was a member of the Zion Lutheran Church.

She lived in Columbus Junction for many years and worked at Ross Dry Goods Store.

Survivors include one daughter, Dorothy Volkens, of Shelby, Iowa; stepdaughter, Eileen Flator, of Santa Rosa, California; five grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandson; two sisters, Anna Herbst of Muscatine, and Eda Keever of Gladstone, Illinois.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her first husband in 1957; her second husband in 199; three brothers; one sister; an infant daughter, Lucille; and a daughter, Jeanette Garrett.
