Jeannie L. Davidson

Jeannie L. Davidson age 56, of 9673 F. Ave., Wapello, Iowa, died Sunday morning, June 18, 2000, at the University of Iowa Hospital, Iowa City.

The daughter of Jack and Francis Person Slusher, she was born September 17, 1943 at Wildwood, New Jersey. She married Robert “Rocky” Davidson on December 31, 1982 at Cedar Rapids.

Jeannie has been involved at owner/operator of various restaurants, bars, and beauty salons, including currently with her husband at Rocky’s Landing at Lake Odessa near Wapello. Jeannie was active with Girl Scouts for many years. Her businesses were always a priority, providing customer satisfaction. She also especially enjoyed her gardening.

She was of the Catholic faith.

Jeannie is survived by her husband, “Rocky”; six children, Kelly Rupe of Wapello, John Hess of Wapello, Kim Hess of Marion, Eric Hess of Wapello, Lori Davidson of West Branch, and Brian Davidson of Cedar Rapids; eight grandchildren; and a brother, Bob Slusher of Kansas City, Missouri.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

The funeral ceremony for Jeannie Davidson was held at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, June 21, 2000, at the Dudgeon-McCulley Funeral Home in Wapello, cremation following.

There was no visitation.
