Raymond K. Dameron dies in Missouri

Ray Dameron, 71, formerly of this area, died on January 4, 1981, at Joplin, Missouri.

Funeral services were held at Derfelt Funeral Home, Galena, Kansas. Burial was in Hillcrest Cemetary, Galena.

He was born the son of Ward and Estella (Allender) Dameron on February 28, 1908, in Yarmouth, Iowa.

Survivors include his wife; two daughters Mrs. Billie Stephens of Columbus Junction and Mrs. Mary Mapes of Ghana, Africa; one son Michael of Galena, Kansas; a step-son Tom Dickson of Joplin; step-daughter Drucilla Ellis of Galena; 11 grandchildren; two step-grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; a brother Frank of Chicago; and three sisters Mrs. Margaret Cover of Long Beach, California, Mrs. Gertrude Miller of Grove, Oklahoma, and Mrs. Vera Reece of Burlington, Iowa
