Pearl Blake, 97, of Concord, Calif., formerly of Letts, died Sunday, Dec. 29, 2002, at the home of her daughter in Concord.

Graveside services were at 1 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 7, at the Cedar Bethel Cemetery, rural Letts. Visitation was Monday evening at the Stacy-Lewis Funeral Home in Columbus Junction.

A memorial has been established for the Hospice of Contra Costa, 2051 Harrison St., Concord, CA 94520.

Born July 14, 1905, she was the daughter of Roy and Jeannie Brownlee. She was a homemaker and worked for the overall factory in Muscatine for many years.

Mrs. Blake was a member of the Faith Baptist Church of Geneseo, and while living in California attended the Park Haven Baptist Church in Concord. She enjoyed crocheting, going to church, working crossword puzzles, and traveling.

Survivors include her daughter, Mary Plambeck, Concord; her son, Raymond Crow and Donna of Rock Island, Ill.; and numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, one son and two daughters.
